Made With Love – A Set of Dies, 3 Looks

Hi everyone! I’m excited to show you some card I’ve made for the Made With Love Design Team. Made With Love is a craft store in Singapore. If you’re living in Singapore, drop by the store! It’s at a mall called Somerset 313. All products showcased are available at the Made With Love store.
Today I will share three cards today and I’m showing 3 different ways of using your a set of dies. I’m featuring this Silhouette Die by Echo Park Paper Co. I must admit, dies can be expensive but they last forever (unless you break them hehe) and you can use them with various looks.
Look #1
I die cut the dies using a watercolour paper and as you can see below, I’ve used the ZIG Clean Color Real Brush marker. I started by colouring only the bottom part of the image.
Then, I took a wet brush and “pull” the colour upwards. This will create a quick and easy gradient look. This is my first time using the markers and I must say, it’s extremely pigmented and easy to work with. If you like Distress Markers like I do, you will LOVE this.

I’ve added the sentiment from Technique Tuesdays Very Real stamp set by heat embossing it in Ranger White Embossing Powder. You noticed that I’ve added a circle cut patterned paper for the images to sit on. That’s from Allison Kraft Designs – Recorded. I love the soft confetti look. Of course, I had to add some sequins. They are Doodlebugs Designs Sequins in Limeade.

Look #2
For this, I started out by just heat embossing in Ranger Gold Embossing Powder to a paper before die-cutting the images. I find it easier to do this, than to heat embossed after cutting out the image because you can hold the paper properly while you heat embossed.
I’ve created a raised banner with the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Penelope’s Blossom set. As you can see, I’ve scored to lines on the banner. Do this on both sides, and then fold it. I’ve, then, added dimensional stickle below the words and not the tail ends of the banner. This will give a nice 3D look to your banner.

Completed the card with Allison Kraft Designs – Recorded patterned paper, Ranger Pink Stickles to create hearts and some enamel dots from My Mind’s Eye.
Look #3

This takes a bit more time to do but I find it quite soothing. A lot of Distress Inks were used here to create a bunch of rainbow colours. I’ve used the Distress Form to my papers, making sure that it goes from dark to light.

Because the background is so busy with colours, I’ve purposely used a bold black and white sentiment using Technique Tuesdays Very Real stamp set. Black cardstock is so useful to have a stack in your stash because it pulls together a very busy background.
I hope you’ll find this sharing session fun and useful!
