Made With Love – Die-Cuts & Distress Inks

Hi everyone! I’m excited to show you some cards I’ve made for theΒ Made With Love Design Team. Made With Love is a craft store in Singapore. If you’re living in Singapore, drop by the store! It’s at a mall called Somerset 313.Β All products showcased are available at the Made With Love store.

Today, I would like to share a few different looks you can achieve the same technique! The watercolour look is really popular with all the mediums out there that you can use as a watercolour. My favourite is using the distress inks.

Card #1
This card, I used the Sizzix Butterflies Dies πŸ™‚ There are a bit embossed but that’s a bit hard to see on photo. Anyways, I’ve loosely added colours to the background and the butterflies. As you can see, you don’t need any professional watercolouring skills to get this look. If I can do it, I’m sure you can too!
Card #2
This card, I used the Avery Elle heart dies. If you’re looking to start buying dies, shape dies are great to start with. You can use the die use alone or use it as the main attraction like here πŸ™‚
To get the watercolour to layer in different tones of colour, remember to let it dry first πŸ™‚ This allows you to get dark and light spots and only using one colour.
Card #3
This card might not look like much but I had fun doing this! Since it’s my first time using the We R Memory Keepers Alphabet Punch (mini). You can use pattern papers or doodle your own designs on the alphabet πŸ™‚
